About the Role
Hendra Moving, Storage & Logistics is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Bookkeeper & Business Office Manager to join our growing team.
This is a key leadership position within the company, combining bookkeeping, office administration, customer service, and business operations support. The successful candidate will play an important role in helping ensure the business operatesefficiently, professionally, and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions
- Process payroll and payroll-related remittances
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Complete bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare invoices and billing documentation
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Assist with GST filings and source deductions
- Coordinate with accountants and external financial professionals
- Monitor overdue accounts and collections
- Oversee daily office administration and workflow
- Answer inbound customer calls and inquiries professionally
- Support scheduling, customer communications, and operational coordination
- Assist with onboarding paperwork and administrative processes
- Maintain organized digital and physical records
- Support management reporting and business operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping, office management, or business administration experience
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and payroll procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Professional, confidential, and detail-oriented approach

Mover / Mover Helper
About the Role
At Hendra Moving, Storage & Logistics, our movers are the backbone of every successful move. As a Mover / Helper, you’ll work as part of a professional team delivering exceptional service to residential and commercial clients across Vancouver Island.
This is a physically active, team-oriented role where no two days are the same — ideal for someone who takes pride in doing great work, enjoys being on the move, and values working with a reliable, supportive crew.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport furniture and household goods safely and efficiently
- Wrap, pad, and protect items to prevent damage during transit
- Assist with packing and unpacking services when required
- Work closely with the driver and team to complete moves on schedule
- Provide a positive, professional experience for every customer
- Navigate stairs, tight spaces, and varied environments with care
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability — shows up ready to work
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow direction and work efficiently under pressure
- Previous moving, labour, or customer service experience is an asset (not required)

Mover Driver / Crew Lead
About the Role
This is not just a driving job. As a Mover Driver / Crew Lead, you are responsible for leading the move from start to finish — managing the crew, ensuring customer satisfaction, and safely operating company vehicles. You’ll be the face of Hendra on-site, combining leadership, logistics, and hands-on work to deliver a seamless moving experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate 3-ton and 5-ton moving trucks safely and professionally
- Lead and supervise a team of movers on residential and commercial jobs
- Plan and execute move-day logistics efficiently
- Load and secure items to prevent damage during transport
- Communicate clearly with customers throughout the moving process
- Complete paperwork, inventories, and job documentation accurately
- Troubleshoot challenges on-site and adapt quickly
- Ensure safety standards are followed at all times
- Train and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Experience driving larger vehicles (moving trucks or similar)
- Previous moving experience strongly preferred
- Proven leadership or crew supervision experience
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs regularly
- Highly reliable, organized, and accountable
